About the Author
Jayme Adelson-Goldstein, co-author of The Oxford Picture Dictionary is an adult education ESL teacher, curriculum consultant, and certified teacher trainer. She has given professional development workshops for adult education instructors throughout the United States on topics such as
student-centered instruction, ESL techniques and multilevel instruction.
Jenni Currie Santamaria has been teaching English as a Second Language for twenty years at the adult and college level. She has numerous publications, including two multi-skill textbooks, teachers' guides, and a variety of interactive activities and workbook exercises for English learners. She is currently an ESL instructor and mentor teacher at ABC Adult School in Cerritos, California.

Super ESL Resource

The Oxford Picture Dictionary Lesson Plans is an excellent teaching tool, especially for English Language Learners at all levels. It coordinates, page by page, with the Oxford Picture Dictionary - the best of its kind. 3 CD's included offer superb pronunciation audios and exercises. What a bargain for under $30!
with free S & H from Amazon.com. It was not out of stock and much more expensive thru Oxford University Press.
I suggest combining it with OPD/Low-Beginning Workbook (which includes audio & repro CD's)bundle. Around $26 - might only be available from Oxford Univ. Press. Makes for the BEST teaching resources for Adult Ed ESL teachers and educational institutions.

Excellent Companion Book

This book, conveniently spiral bound, serves as a companion book to Oxford Picture DIctionary and is meant to be used by a teacher as a lesson plan resource. I teach ESL and it is an integral part of my lesson plan. The book follows the subjects in OPD and is thus easily coordinatable with the OPD. I would rcommend it highly to anyone teaching ESL to adults.

I absolutely love this lesson plan book

I absolutely love this lesson plan book. Somebody who actually knows how to teach and does or did teach extensively wrote this book. It is fantastic! You can literally read it and teach directly from this book, the lesson plans are so well done. And it follows task-based communicative lesson style instruction (learning by doing/using the language), so it is also student-friendly. My students love it. I tweak the lessons and sometimes add to it, but you wouldn't have to.
